DPO Radar - solution for GDPR

The GDPR has applied since May 2018 and supervisory authorities check and sanction compliance. Companies therefore need their data protection agenda backed by records: who handled a data subject request, when and how; what the purposes and legal bases of processing are; and how a security incident was dealt with. DPO Radar by Extend IT, s.r.o. is a module for the complete agenda of the Data Protection Officer (DPO), built on the open-source helpdesk Znuny / OTOBO (the successors of OTRS).

What DPO Radar covers

• GDPR registers – preconfigured registers of processing purposes, legal bases and data categories instead of spreadsheet checklists,
• data subject requests – access, rectification, erasure, portability and objections, with statutory deadlines tracked,
• data subject portal – registration, an overview of legal bases and consent management,
• incidents – recording and handling of data breaches, including the basis for notifying the supervisory authority,
• audit trail – the full history of communication and decisions for inspections and internal audits.

The same approach – records, deadlines and an audit trail – can also be used for security incidents and requirements under the new cybersecurity legislation (NIS2).
